ESO Chile disseminates images taken of spectacular cosmic watercolor.

Santiago de Chile, June 30 .- A spectacular cosmic watercolor surrounding the R Coronae Australis star, created from images taken with the "Wide Field Imager (WFI) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile, was released today by that organization.

R Coronae Australis is located in the heart of a nearby star-forming region and is surrounded by a delicate blue reflection nebula which is located in a huge, buy kinah aion, cloud of dust.

The magnified image taken by the Observatory, La Silla, ESO astronomers first resort in Chile, which opened on March 25, 1969, reveals startling new details of this spectacular area of the sky.

The huge cloud of dust that surrounds the reflection nebula is seen in this picture with an impressive level of, ffxiv gil, detail and subtle colors and varied textures of the clouds of dust make this picture look like an impressionist painting.

The star R Coronae Australis is located in one of the most spectacular nearby star-forming regions.

This portrait, taken with the "Wide Field Imager (WFI) in the 2.2-meter telescope MPG / ESO in La Silla Observatory, is a combination of twelve images taken through, sto credits, red filters, green and blue.

The stunning image shows a slice of heaven that encompasses approximately the size of the full moon, which is equivalent to about four light years from extension in the location of the nebula, located about 420 light years away in the constellation of Corona Australis (the southern crown).

The complex was named for the star R Coronae Australis, visible in the center of this image.

According to ESO is one of the many stars in this area are classified as very young and they vary in brightness, even surrounded by clouds of gas and dust from which they formed.

The intense radiation that emerges from these young stars and hot gas interacts with the surrounding and is reflected or re-emitted at different wavelengths.

These complex processes determined by the physics of interstellar medium and the properties of stars, are responsible for the magnificent colors of the nebula.

The blue cloud seen in this picture is largely the reflection of light from the star in small particles of dust.

The young stars in the R Coronae Australis complex have masses similar to the sun and do not emit enough ultraviolet light to ionize a significant portion of the surrounding hydrogen.

The European Southern Observatory (ESO), supported by 14 countries, is the major astronomical intergovernmental organization in Europe and the most productive astronomical observatory in the world.
