U.S. appoints the first female leader of an intelligence agency.

Washington, Aug. 9 .- The engineer today Letitia Long became the first woman in U.S. history to lead an intelligence agency to assume the direction of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

Long, 51, will head one of the 16 spy agencies for the United States to control security of the country.

During the official ceremony in which he assumed his new post Long, Secretary of, tibia gold, Dnse Robert Gates, praised his work as deputy assistant secretary of dnse for intelligence and its role as second chief of the Dnse Intelligence Agency.

"I am happy to have the opportunity to continue serving our country not only in the NGA and its professionals but also with our partners and colleagues in the U.S. intelligence community and the, ffxiv gil, international community," he said in his speech.

Throughout his career, Long has worked closely with the new director of the National Intelligence (DNI), James Clapper.

Long began his civilian career linked to the Navy in 1978 as project engineer in training at the David Taylor Research Center.

In his 32 years career, Long has spent, Star Wars: the old Republic Credits, sixteen of them intelligence as deputy director of the Naval Agency, Under Secretary of Dnse for Intelligence and most recently as a second Intelligence Agency.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, created in 1996, is part of the Department of Dnse and its main mission is to analyze the satellite images provided by the U.S. in world events, weather disasters and military actions.
