Many activities for all audiences up the agenda of the Second Week of Solidarity Calahorra.
The Minister of the Presidency, Emilio del Rio, has participated this morning in Calahorra in the presentation of the program of activities that make up the Second week of Calahorra Solidarity, an event organized by NGOs Calawi, Caritas, Rioja Baja Solidarity FUNDEA, Solidarity Project Trinidad and Mozambique the South, with the collaboration of the City of Calahorra and the Government of La Rioja.

The project, launched last year, some thoughts on poverty, its causes and effects not only in southern societies but also in ours. In total, the government of La Rioja has provided 40,000 euros this year to eleven projects aimed at sensitizing the population on development cooperation. In this edition, selected features are: Calawi (2,500 euros), Co (4,500 euros), FISC (2,152 euros), Fundacion Independiente de La Rioja (5211 euros), Fundacion Itaka-Escolapios (1,780 euros), Intermon- Oxfam (2886 euros), Kaipacha Inti (2,140 euros), Manos Unidas (10,966 euros), Proclade (1,835 euros), Sed-Rioja (2,637 euros) and Rioja SODEPAZ (3,000 euros).
El Gobierno de La Rioja believes that public awareness oncooperation is one of the most important policy of cooperation Rioja. In this sense, the regional government holds, in addition, other activities, many of them in collaboration with the Coordinator of Non-Governmental Development of La Rioja. This is the case of the Solidarity Film Festival or various training workshops.
The main objective of these actions is to translate the whole of society Rioja concern about situations of poverty of the countries in process of development and try to put the means to move toward a sustainable human development.
